In the Three Rivers District Council elections in 2021 Chris Mitchell increased the vote for the Green Party in Dickinsons Ward, Croxley Green, eightfold from 119 to 961, and the vote share sixfold from 6% to over 38%. He was narrowly beaten by the Liberal Democrats whose vote share fell by a third from 66% to 43%.

Chris said:
“Thank you to everyone who voted for me. A special thank you to the many volunteers who helped to produce leaflets, leafleting and canvassing. Without their help, we could not have got our message across so well. It was a fantastic team effort.
This great result shows it was only ever a race between the Liberal Democrats and the Green Party.
I will carry on working for Croxley Green as a Parish Councillor and in all the other community activities in in our fabulous village.
I hope to stand for election for the Green Party in Dickinsons Ward again next year.”
Chris' top priorities are:
- Protecting our Green Belt from the unrealistic and unsustainable housing targets set by national government
- Improving communication and consultation with local residents about the District Council’s initiatives
- Ensuring that community assets, such as the Red Cross Hall, are used for the benefit of the community
Chris will continue as an active Parish Councillor and campaigner in Croxley Green.
